Documents Requirement
- Passport has to be valid for 6 months or more from the date of entry. Visa Application form needs to be properly and fully filled, with the original signature of the passenger, with 2 photographs (Size 3.5 X 4.5cm).
- A photocopy of the return confirmed ticket needs to be attached.
- Bank Statement for last 06 Months with original Seal and Stamp from bank on all pages is required
- Minimum closing balance should be 700US for individual.
- Proof of hotel accommodation is MUST for every traveler for Visa and in some cases, to clear immigration. In the case of Media going to work in Thailand - Permission from Department of Information, Press Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- In the case of filming, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai requires a letter from the Thailand Film Office, Office of Tourism Development granting permission to film.
- For those of the media going to Thailand to cover news in a short term visit, such would fit in category Non-Immigrant (B)

After the consulate verifies the documents submitted by the applicant, the consulate holds the right to ask for additional documents depending on the case if required.
If your visa is granted then it is the applicant's responsibility to check all the content of the visa issued to ensure it covers the period of stay requested, the number of entries required, the applicant details and that it is valid for the purpose of the trip.

Validity of the visa denotes the time period during which the traveler can use the visa while the period of stay denotes the amount of time the traveler can stay in Thailand.
Local guarantor should be the one who is not traveling. (To be mention on application form)
All Travel agents needs to tag agency sticker on passports for submission of applications.
Photo Specifications
Please provide two recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:
- Taken against a white background so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
- Clear share quality and with the 80% face in focus.
- Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
- Full face, non-smiling [without glasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
- Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.
- Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available at the centre.
Processing Time
The normal visa processing period of the Consulate is 5 working days. Granting the decision of visa application is at complete discretion of Consulate.
